  My Fandoms....

You've probably guessed by now that I'm a geek. I have been watching SCIFI and horror stuff since I was a kid. My mom needed someone to go see horror movies with her, so she trained me from a young age to be fearless. I was raised on Dark Shadows, Star Trek, and the Wild, Wild West. I wanted to be a member of the Addams Family, and be part of the crew of the Enterprise.

Then there was Star Wars. The real Star Wars where Han shot first. I can't remember how many times I saw the first movie during the summer of 1977. George Lucas was my god. A place he held for a very long time, then he made those prequel movies and he is no longer my master.

My heart belongs to Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams now. They are my Masters now.

Buffy and Angel -

Like most of the free world, I thought the Buffy movie was total crap. But I was willing to take a chance on the series when it premiered. I loved it. The first five seasons were so much fun. Sure it jumped the shark here and there, but I still loved it. Season six for me was a bummer other than the musical and evil Willow. Don't get me started on SPuffy! There is only one love for Spike and that is Drusilla. Season Seven's shining moment was when Nathan Fillion joined the cast as Caleb. I loved Caleb before I loved Malcolm Reynolds.

Angel on the other hand never jumped the shark. It was the superior show all the way around. The characters were deeper. The stories were richer. It all just clicked. I don't miss Buffy, and I'm none too impressed with the Season 8 comic. But the Angel season six comic rocks my world.

I am a bit pissed with Joss for killing both my boys at the end of Angel though. I write fanfic for Caleb and Wesley Wyndam-Price.

Firefly -

I didn't commit to Firefly on TV. I knew that FOX would kill it as they do all good programs (Profit and Drive). But once the DVDs came out, I near wore them out watching them over and over again.

I started writing fic for Malcolm Reynolds. He just speaks to me, and is one of my favorite fanfic characters.

I saw Serenity five times in the theatre, and I can't count how many times I've watched the movie on DVD.

A big monster on an island? A plane crash? Okay, I'm curious. I'll watch it. I've been hooked ever since.

The use of flashbacks and flash forwards have made LOST one of the most thought provoking series I've ever watched. The X Files didn't have this many twists and turns.

I get a bit tired of Jack's preaching and whining. But getting to watch Sawyer makes it all worthwhile. I cannot wait to see what the new season will bring. Been writing some Sawyer fic too.

Heroes -
Oh people, please quit your bitching about Heroes. How can you not follow what's going on with a cast of more than four people? Did you think this was a sitcom with a normal family?

Heroes requires a brain. It requires you to pay attention. Is that so much to ask? I don't think so.

I'm more than happy to plunk myself down in front of the TV. Heroes is one of 3 shows I watch live - LOST and SPN are the others. I've never missed it. I DVR it for friends. I have watched the DVDs at least twice. I pimp it to anyone who will listen.

And yes, I write Sylar fic. I do love me some bad guys.

Supernatural -
Supernatural is the best western on TV since they canceled Firefly. That's right boys and girls, it's a western. The Impala is their horse, and the hot boys go from town to down taking out desperados.

I'm a Dean fan all the way. He's a jerk. He's hot, and he can kick ass like no one's business. Jensen Ackles is one hell of a good actor too, and it would be nice if someone noticed that from time to time.

As for the love interests? I don't care. I do miss Katie Cassidy's version of Ruby though. She rocked. But then I did have a serious crush on her dad with I was a kid.

I've done some Dean fanfic and some crossovers with Supernatural and the Buffy verse. You can see it all on my fanfic comm.

I think that's everything....for now!
